My path to becoming a senior designer has been anything but linear — and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've designed at scrappy startups, consulted as an independent contractor, and shipped products at some of America's largest corporations. From remote mountain towns to Madison Avenue, each chapter has shaped how I work and what I value.

I specialize where design and analysis intersect: dashboards, data visualization, and systems built to scale. Working directly with users — learning from how they navigate, struggle, and succeed — is the part of this work I find endlessly energizing.
When I'm not at my desk you'll find me cycling, hiking, kayaking, or climbing. Back home, I write poetry, cook, and spend time in my art studio.

Dominique Francis Grogan has been with this team for little over a quarter now and has been a design thinking leader. She has led all necessary visual design requirements in a timely and clear manner.
Her larger impact has been in user research — consistently driving research on Merchandising dashboards, Category Management, Report Hub, and production transition. These last two were game-changers for the client: deep problem discovery paired with active change management. She engaged Product Managers in problem definition, shaped solutions, and built real comfort with users navigating the transition.

Over the course of her time at the client, Dominique delivered a solution that was recently released to all users. She kept empathy at the forefront — deepening her understanding of merchandising users through multiple rounds of research and testing, and pushing for concept testing early to validate solutions before full build.
Previously handed requirements from product managers, on this project she was able to truly collaborate — upskilling her analytical abilities and learning to connect problems to opportunities as her ecosystem knowledge grew.
She thought about user adoption holistically from the start, collecting feedback at every touchpoint, making connections between stakeholders and users, and facilitating important complex conversations with confidence. Her facilitation skills are now exceptional.
Dominique is very passionate and dedicated. She consistently delivered great quality work and was always ready to listen to queries and suggestions, getting back to us in a very short span of time.
Her communication and presentation skills were appreciated by all stakeholders — both client-side and internally. She did a great job across all XD work for the Report Hub module, and we received huge appreciation for wrapping it up ahead of schedule.
